Craft: Make Your Own Ancient Egyptian Headband

Zet says, "Costumes are great when you're working on a mystery. You can wear them to go under cover and track down clues. Always useful when there are bad guys around."

Thanks to Firstpalette.com for this great craft project!

Materials

  • A4 or Letter size printable cardstock
  • Crayons or any water-based paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Paint brush
  • Rhinestones, sequins, glitter (optional)

Steps

1. Choose from any of these Egyptian headband templates and print out your chosen template on A4 or Letter size card stock.

*If you chose a colored template, go directly to Step 3.

    2. Color or paint the template gold. You can also include other hues as an accent.

    3. Cut out the three template pieces.

    4. Take the pair of straight template bands. Glue each one on either side of the main headband template. Measure the headband around your head. Trim off the ends of the bands to achieve the right length.

    5. You can add more sparkle by accenting the headband with glitter glue.

Or decorate it with puffy paint, rhinestones or sequins.

    6. Let the glue and puffy paint dry before gluing the ends of the headband together.

    Finally, try it on!
