Ancient Egypt Timeline

Egypt Dynasty Timeline

Need a timeline of Ancient Egypt's Dynasties?

Look no further.

This historical chart has you covered from start to finish. While dating Ancient Egypt's Dynasties is an ongoing and difficult task, this timeline table is based on archaeologists' conventional estimates. It covers the dates from ancient Egypt 3000 BC to the Ptolemaic Dynasty.

Note that dates overlap in certain instances. During those times, pharaohs may have ruled simultaneously in different parts of Egypt. It also shows the difficulty researchers face in committing to exact figures.

Looking for Queen Cleopatra? You'll find her near the bottom in the Graeco-Roman Period. You may be surprised to learn she ruled so late in Ancient Egypt's long history!
